Britain's News Channel · every platform

Britain's number one news channel.

Across every day of August 2026 on BARB's overnights, GB News averaged 17 per cent more viewers than the public service news channel and 24 per cent more than the satellite news channel. That is the fourth month running ahead of both. Add a record quarter for GB News Radio and an 11.8 million social community, and the question is no longer why GB News. It is why not.

Average daily viewers

Number one. Not by a whisker, by a quarter.

August 2026, averaged across every day on BARB's overnights: GB News first, 17 per cent ahead of the public service news channel and 24 per cent ahead of the satellite news channel. The fourth month running; May and June are on the official BARB monthly read. A news plan without GB News now leaves out the biggest news audience in Britain.

Reach you cannot buy anywhere else

The number one news audience, and most plans still do not buy it.

This is not a duplicate of the reach you already pay for. On BARB's own consolidated currency, around three quarters of regular GB News viewers see the satellite news channel, or the alternative public service channel, fewer than three times a week. Roughly half see even the biggest commercial channel's whole family fewer than three times. Most watched, most committed, least duplicated: every week GB News is off the plan is a week your competitors can own it.

Duplication · share of regular GB News viewers barely reached elsewhere, weeklyThe reach the rest of the plan is missing

In the dayparts where plans are won, June weekday prime time ran 62 per cent ahead of the satellite news channel and weekday breakfast averaged 3.1 times the public service news channel in the same slot. Dayparts and monthly averages are different measures; every basis is in the evidence room.

Read it at your own pace

Every news plan in Britain now has the same question to answer. The number one news channel, a news radio station at record reach and an eleven-million-strong social audience are on the table. Leaving them off is a choice, and one a client may reasonably ask about.

Digital and social

Eight and a half million visitors and seventy million page views a month. Here is what that looks like.

Every dot below is one hundred thousand people. Two audiences, each in the millions, each measured on its own platform basis, each one tap from a media plan.
